Shishkat is a village with a population of over 2000 people in over 200 households located in Upper Hunza. It is also sometimes called Nazimabad Shishkat. This is the very first village of the Gojal Valley and the primary language of this village is the Burushaski although you can also find Wakhi and Domaaki peoples in this area as well. This village was settled during the reign of Mir Nizam Khan and it was also the site of a battle between the state of Hunza and the local Wakhi population.
